MetaMask

MetaMask is a cryptocurrency wallet that allows users to access the Web 3 ecosystem of decentralized applications (dapps).

To use MetaMask, use Chrome, a Chromium-based browser like Brave, or Firefox.

1. Download: First of all, you will have to download and install the official Metamask extension/addon for your browser; either the Google Chrome extension or the Firefox addon, depending on your browser. For our guide, we’ll be using the Google Chrome version, but the steps are almost identical for other browsers.

2. Configuration: In this step we are going to make the configuration of your wallet, two options are shown.

• Import Wallet: Import the existing wallet with a recovery secret phrase.
• Create a Wallet: This will create a new wallet and recovery passphrase.

  For this guide we will continue with Create a Wallet.

When your configuration is complete, you will be automatically logged in to MetaMask. If you ever log out, you will be able to log back in by clicking on the MetaMask icon added to your web browser (usually located next to the URL bar).
